Young hafidh/hafidhah

Bismillah.

Just finished watching this a few moments ago. SubhanAllah, there are several highlights worth pondering.

1) Words of God unite people from all over the world. Everyone, regardless of the skin colour, race, age can memorize the Quran despite their zero knowledge on Arabic. And you don't need to be rich to be a hafidh/hafidhah. Just do it.

2) With good parents, come good kids as well. In shaa Allah.

3) I love Nabioullah amongst all! <3 The way he speaks, his thoughts and his positive energy really mesmerized me. So matured though he's just a 10 years old kid! Rifdha is also one of her kind. =)

4) Don't despair if you're losing out in a competition (in reference to Djamil's case). You will still get accepted by the society (outside the competition) even if you previously couldn't make it. The blessings are not only gained through winning. Losing out can be a blessing in disguise too.

5) Give a smile to people. It can help regain somebody's confidence. - A lesson from a positive emcee (or judge? not sure).

6) People who memorize(ed) the Quran have noor on their faces. SubhanAllah.

Of niqab and career

Bismillah.

I am a dreamy girl. One of my dreams is to be a career woman (a professional) and at the same time wearing the niqab. Is that possible? In shaa Allah I'm gonna prove that I can be the one! =)

This is my liberty! The way I express myself. Why cant you just let me be free?!

It'a matter of Love

Bismillah.

Just my 2 cents for today. =)

Know that it is He who put the love (towards someone) in our hearts. Don't disapprove it. It only turns to be a poison when we are multiplying the original intensity of that love till it's clouding the heart's sight from seeing The Giver. Instead, make it a reason to feel in awe of Him for the love itself cannot possibly exist without The Love Creator whose attribute is The Ever-Loving (Al-Wadud). The ultimate purposes of love are to love Him and to love the people (or animals, arts, nature, knowledge, etc)  for His sake alone.
SubhanAllah.

O My Ummah

Bismillah.

You know what? Somehow I think the phenomena where some of the Malaysian artists are making the Islamic transformation in themselves are the signs from Allah that actually Islam is on the way on its re-rising. There can never be a coincidence in Islam! Allahu Akbar. Allah has planned loooooong way before, that within this period so and so, He's gonna make Islam rises again as what He has promised through the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him). Forgive me coz I couldn't find the Hadith but I'm very sure there is such Hadith and In shaa Allah I'll get back to this post and add to it once I've found it.

Thanks to Facebook that everyday I'll be up-dated about whats happening in both local and the world. The issues might be different but the core of the issue is always the same one thingt; Islam is on the highlight.

Locally, there are always stories of artists becoming aware of the Islam and usually their Islamic activities will be updated through many shares of pics together with short notes. Happening now - a few Malaysian artists are in Gaza now to help in the Palestinian cause and they went there with the authorized bodies such as Aqsa Syarif and Aman Palestin. Allahu Akbar. Their stories are truly inspiring and that our love four our brothers and sisters in Palestine is just getting stronger day by day. Hopefully our ummah will be more united after this and let their efforts inspire Muslims in the other parts of the world as well!

Female artists are more likely to be noticed in their appearance transformation as they were not wearing the Hijab before and now with them looking so Muslimah, have inspired the other women in Malaysia as well. Some of them are elected to be spokespersons of Hijab brands and yeah thats kinna transform the Hijab styles to a lot of ladies. Allahu Akbar. How the influence of public figures esp artists impact the society's lifestyles, perceptions and thoughts. This makes me a firm believer that arts are no doubts the agent of transformation for humankind. So lets involve in arts production now! :D

Okay. That's what happen in our lil country Malaysia. :)
Moving on to the Western world, the religion of Islam has become the primary choice of its many people and the number of Americans and Europeans converting to Islam is just increasing annually. Please read here and watch here. So that's the story of the converts. The already Muslims in the West are also doing their part robustly especially in preaching. I can say so because I've watched many Islamic video lectures on youtube whom the speakers are mostly English speaking Muslims living in the West. I love studying knowledge from these scholars as they deliver the 'ilm straight (without hidden agenda), with relevant practicals and they're so energetic Masha Allah! I do not want to compare them with others scholars coz everyone has their own strengths and I strongly believe that Allah has provided each one of us a unique way of receiving Hidayah.

Continue with the Islam in the West.
Well, I actually never been to any of the Western countries yet but I do take not of their activities and the one massive gathering of Muslims that I know so far is the Reviving Islamic Spirit (RIS) event. I am longing to go to this event so badly!! I pray that one day I can go there In shaa Allah. Other than that, there have been a number of Islamic institutions established that offer the learning of Islamic knowledge from the learned scholars. The one that I've joined is AlMaghrib Institute and the one that I'm desiring to study at is Bayyinah Institute. Wallahi, I was so spiritually awakened when I went to the 'A Heart Serene' seminar, taught by   Shaykh Riad Ouarzazi. Hope to go to his class again in the future! :)

Alright. Maybe I'm done with the West part and now lets talk about the Arab spring. Yesss Arab spring!! Starting from the Tunisia in 2010, it has then spread to other Arab countries as well. Read this. The rising of the Arabs has become the limelight of the media since then and now it's still ongoing. Poor Syria. :'(  But there's one major positive change came out of it as well! Morsi! President Morsi Al-Hafiz, is the promising khalifah In shaa Allah :)

Well, I guess there are many more signs but what I wrote above are just my 2 cents. Here I would like to end this post with this video. :)

p/s - I enjoyed using the words "transform/transformation" a lot in this post! :D

The abaya dream

Bismillah.

I know I was supposed to post something yesterday but it wasn't possible coz it was a crazy shopping day yesterday!! :D great sales tempted me so much and Sogo is just a heaven place to shop! At first, my only aim was to buy a few abaya at Jalan TAR but ended up together with two handbags and a pair of flat shoes bought in the Sogo mall. But I managed to get one decent abaya at Jalan TAR and I couldn't get some more as there weren't any of my taste available.

My favourite designs are just simple plain abaya with maybe one or two stripes and light decorations at the near hand part. I always dream to get those from Dubai and Saudi but I think abaya from the gulfs need to be searched in specific Arabic boutiques so that I can have varieties to choose from. Actually there are lots of online trades offering those kinds but I just prefer to buy in real shop so that I can touch the fabrics and try to fit in first checking its comfort  before purchasing.

The one that I bought yesterday, according to the shop owner (an Indonesian woman), is from Saudi and it only costs RM 100. Not bad but not really my favourite though. It has a line of small silver stones in the middle and brown flowery design at the near hand parts. Glad. =)

Hoping to have a collection of abaya from gulfs soon!! :D

The blues end

Bismillah

Last time I blogged about how the family value helps to motivate us in working. Well, if that's considered sparks some happiness in the heart, what if we switch to a greater degree of value?

What's a greater value than family???

FAITH. yup. no other.

How does faith helps to fight Monday blues? Alright, allow me to define faith in my own understanding.

To me, having faith in the heart means establishing connection with the Greatest Being ever; Your Lord. Submitting your every will to His, comfortably - without having to feel hurt by His destiny set for you. Instead, we feel that's the best for us and because His love has settled firm in our heart, we don't want anything more but Him and whatever He loves to be our ends.

So when Monday comes, Tuesday follows and so do the other days, everyday will become just another template to express our love and obedience towards Him. A brand new day is waited eagerly to work/study/produce at the best level just because that yearn inside; desiring His pleasure. Challenges are seen as opportunities, hurts and disappointments become means to get closer to Him , happiness is the reason to express gratitude, worries strengthen your trust in Him that His plan is the best. Tell you, every feeling is no more self-attached but has turned into a joy in serving Him. Cries because of Him has become a pleasure to the heart. However, it's not a "pleasure" pleasure like pleasure when you meet someone or when receiving warm welcome from people but....

_________________________________________________________________________________

long silence.

Okay, words totally fail me on how to describe it! So that's the power of FAITH!!

Understand what is faith. Try to fall in love with it. Once attached, you'll desperately hope that it will never parted from you.

No more Monday blues. But a brand new template to creatively express your submission to attain His pleasure. Struggles are required, no doubt. But  remember this - at the start, you might feel hard, in the middle, harder but He promises us in the Quran;

Verily, with every difficulty there is relief. [94:6]

That means; with difficulty, comes easiness as well. The light is not just appearing at the end of tunnel, but along it too.  :)

Forget Monday blues. Have faith.

After a looooooooooooong time

Bismillah.

I have to admit that I wasn't really committed to blogging. But In Shaa Allah, starting from now on, I promise to myself that I'm gonna write here as as often as I can. How come...that I actually have lots of things in my mind and heart to be shared with the world and I...don't write? Well, one strong factor for sure: lack of discipline! I'm  a rules breaker type so that's the problem! Okay. enough is enough. The end.

Okay. Lets start talking about Monday. Mondays equal to blues days according to some. But why??? Just because weekend is over doesn't mean that our happily energetic mood has to stop along as well!. Why separate life between weekdays and weekends? Since when we have this rule? It's all about our mindset.  Like Monday has to be moody caz need to get back to work/study, Wednesday is the most stable day, Friday being so excited to wait for weekend and weekends feeling sad because tomorrow is Monday again? Come on...why it has to be that way. This life isn't just only a cycle of days, weeks. etc. Don't be a loser.

My main point here is don't live our life according to what day it is. But live it to the fullest by the values that we define our life with. VALUES? yesss!! values! I mean, you actually are not happy because you haven't enlightened your heart with what it needs. Not because that day is Monday. The values I'm talking about here is the "internal reasons" that will drive you in what you're doing. Say for example...if your family is the most dearest thing in your life and that you are a family man, that means your value is love for your family. Lets see how it can motivate you in your work or study.

On Monday, before leaving home for work, you have breakfast together with your family. Seeing each one of your family members and watching their behaviours should remind you a lot of their happiness. Think like this; if you work hard and earn halal money, you give/feed them with that money, they will behave well due to the blessings from Allah rooted from your halal earnings. Now, everyone in the house-though not perfect-will become a source of your happiness In Shaa Allah. What else do you need? :)

To be continue...

TAHA

Bismillah.

This surah, I'll be listening to it for almost everyday. So hypnotizing. I feel something indescribably sweet inside my heart every time I listen to this video. Now I know why Umar Radiallahu Anhu felt so moved. :)

The melodious parts that always hypnotized me are:

"Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa". [Ayaah 12]

"Verily! I am Allah..." [Ayaah 14]

"He said: "This is my stick,..." [Ayaah 18]

"Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant). [Ayaah 24]

"[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). [Ayaah 25]

"And ease my task for me; [Ayaah 26]

"And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. [Ayaah 27]

"That they understand my speech, [Ayaah 28]

SubhanaAllah! How beautiful are the words of Allah. No words are worthy to convey the story of Musa.

But mankind forget that this story is not a myth.
